If you’re planning your Orlando trip this fall, SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular 2025 should absolutely be on your radar. It’s one of my favorite “not-too-spooky” ways to dive into the Halloween spirit without waiting for nightfall.
Starting August 30 through November 2, this festive daytime celebration is included with park admission, making it a seamless addition to your family itinerary.
Imagine arriving in costume—yes, everyone’s welcome to dress up (though for safety, guests 13 and older should avoid masks or hoods)—and strolling along a colorful Trick-or-Treat Trail with 12 candy stations where kids drop treats into reusable bags featuring playful designs like Sesame Street pals or SeaWorld’s animal friends.
But the fun doesn’t stop at candy. There’s so much more in store for families:
- Harvest Maze: A whimsical fall labyrinth that’s light, friendly, and perfect for all ages.
- Dance your heart out at the Bubble Dance Party—lots of giggles, bubbles, and kid-powered grooves.
- The Sesame Street Halloween Parade brings everyone’s favorite characters in costume for a musical, dance-filled procession.
- Storytime with Big Bird offers cozy storytelling moments that are ideal for winding down the excitement.
- Don’t miss Meet a Mermaid in the scenic Key West area for an enchanting splash of marine magic.
- Creativity blooms in cookie decorating and kids’ crafts, available throughout the day—no reservations needed!.
- The Pumpkin Garden sparks imagination with hidden pumpkin fish and charming storytelling moments.
- Costumed kids (Fridays in October) can strut their stuff in the Costume Contest, a highlight for little fashionistas.
- And for families with food allergies, the Teal Pumpkin Program offers allergy-friendly treats via teal tokens—safety and inclusivity first!.
Adding to the charm, SeaWorld brings in Spookley the Square Pumpkin this year—an adorable new character joining the festivities. There’s even a Spooktacular Breakfast with Count von Count and Sesame Street friends—sweet memories (and sweet treats) await!.
Planning Tips for Families
- Best Times to Visit: Weekends in September and early October tend to be less crowded than the October 31 rush. Early park entry is golden—enjoy the highlights before mid-afternoon crowds arrive.
- Costumes & Comfort: Go for easy, breathable costumes and sneakers. If your child participates in the costume contest, show up early to avoid long lines!
- Reusable Bags: These are a must for the trick-or-treat trail. Fun designs = festive souvenirs!
- Weather Prep: Florida fall can still bring sun and showers—bring sunscreen, hats, and light rain gear.
- Add-On Experiences: If you’re looking to enhance your visit, check out upgrades like the Spooktacular Breakfast—it’s an extra treat for early birds.
All in all, Halloween Spooktacular at SeaWorld Orlando is the perfect blend of wholesome, festive, and family-focused fun. Daytime Halloween has never looked so sweet!
