Walt Disney World has revealed that the Magic Kingdom in Florida will soon be home to the Tron Lightcycle / Run, a rollercoaster inspired by the Tron movies. The highly-anticipated attraction will open to the public on April 4, 2023, giving theme park goers the chance to experience the futuristic world of Tron in a whole new way. The rollercoaster will feature state-of-the-art technology and special effects, immersing riders in the world of Tron as they race on lightcycles.
“We are thrilled to be bringing the world of Tron to life in a whole new way with this incredible attraction,” said a Disney spokesperson. “The Tron Lightcycle Run will be a one-of-a-kind experience that combines the latest technology with the classic Disney storytelling that we are known for.”
The Tron Lightcycle Run will be located in the Tomorrowland area of the park, and will be a major addition to the already impressive lineup of attractions. The rollercoaster is expected to be popular with fans of the Tron movies, as well as theme park enthusiasts looking for a new and exciting ride experience.
Disney has not yet released any information on the specific details of the attraction, including the ride's length or the number of riders allowed per train. However, they have promised that the Tron Lightcycle / Run will be a "must-see" attraction for anyone visiting Magic Kingdom in 2023.
The announcement of the Tron Lightcycle / Run’s opening comes as Disney continues to invest in new and exciting experiences for guests at their parks. The company has made a significant effort to improve their theme parks to attract more visitors, and it seems the Tron Lightcycle / Run will be no exception. The attraction is expected to be a huge hit when it opens next year.
